Join the ACLU of Massachusetts for the premiere of the documentary Driving Forward Together. Driving Forward Together was produced by former ACLUM intern and current Volunteer Coordinator Molly Roth as a final capstone project. Driving Forward Together follows the experiences of two undocumented women in Massachusetts as they navigate the process of obtaining a driver’s license under the new Work and Family Mobility Act. This law, effective as of July 1st, 2023, grants all individuals in Massachusetts the opportunity to obtain a license, regardless of their immigration status. ACLU staff will also be running two simultaneous workshops prior to the screening to talk about how to get involved with the ACLU and immigration advocacy, and to answer questions directly related to the process of applying for a drivers’ license under the new law.

    Schedule:

7 p.m. – 8 p.m. – There will be 2 workshops happening during this time. One workshop will be for people who want to learn about how to get involved with the ACLU and immigration advocacy, and the other workshop will be for people seeking help applying for a driver’s license under the new law.

    8 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. – Driving Forward Together screening and Q&A
