Let us know you're comingSarah Luria
Fiber artist Sarah Luria has been experimenting with forms in thread for many years. Her grandmother taught her embroidery when she was a child. Inspired by what was once considered “women’s work,” Sarah’s art is as much about process as it is about the final piece. Sarah uses the weight of anatomy contrasted with the process of fabric to explore her own story and the stories of the beautiful women in her life.
Sarah’s work involves hours of meticulous stitching with single strand thread in order to weave the fabric of her stories. Her subject matter includes botany, anatomy, and motherhood.
