    Local artist pop-up market featuring:

    Sarah Luria

Fiber artist Sarah Luria has been experimenting with forms in thread for many years. Her grandmother taught her embroidery when she was a child. Inspired by what was once considered “women’s work,” Sarah’s art is as much about process as it is about the final piece. Sarah uses the weight of anatomy contrasted with the process of fabric to explore her own story and the stories of the beautiful women in her life.

Sarah’s work involves hours of meticulous stitching with single strand thread in order to weave the fabric of her stories. Her subject matter includes botany, anatomy, and motherhood.

    Hakuna Masala

Originally from Nairobi, Zazu sells handmade vintage art from Kenya as well as her own upcycled clothing made from thrifted pieces and extra scraps of material she sources from tailors in Kenya. She is passionate about the environment and tries to live a zero-waste life, is an avid “plant mom”, and also loves to do henna.
